About Us

Mel and WarrenNorthern Walleye Lodge was built in 1947 by Walter C Morrison. Walter owned the lodge for 13 years and sold it in 1960. The lodge has seen a variety of owners since that time until the current owners purchased it in 2010. Warren Thibodeau and his brother, Russ ran Green Wilderness Lodge and in 2006 Warren left leaving Russ to run Green Wilderness Lodge on his own. Warren bought Idle Tyme Fishing Camp which he owned until 2009. In 2010 Warren and his wife, Melanie purchased Northern Walleye Lodge. The lodge sits on the southwest shore of Dog Lake near the town of Missanabie and has 2,850 feet of shoreline allowing for extensive spacing between the cabins.

Over the years Warren and Melanie have made many improvements to the lodge by installing a solar power system and a new electrical system as well as putting new roofs on many of the cottages. Extensive landscaping including a new trail system leading from the cabins to the lodge has been created. Visit the cabins section to find out about all of the improvements made to the cabins over the years.
